Meet Dr. Daniel O. Young, MD, FASN
The Physician Behind Young Nephrology
When you need a kidney specialist, experience matters. So does having a physician who listens carefully, answers your questions, and helps you clearly understand your kidney health.
After nearly 20 years of caring for patients in the St. Louis region in both academic and community healthcare settings, Dr. Daniel Young founded Young Nephrology to create the kind of practice he always envisioned – one that combines the advanced expertise of a leading nephrology program with the accessibility, relationships, and personal attention of an independent community practice.
Experience That Goes Beyond the Exam Room
Dr. Young is committed to educating patients and the medical community. He regularly shares his expertise with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals through educational presentations and clinical training on kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and kidney health.
Teaching strengthens the medical community throughout the St. Louis region while keeping Dr. Young engaged with the latest advances in kidney care – knowledge he brings back to every patient he serves.
A Partner in Your Care
Kidney disease rarely exists on its own.
It is often connected to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic health conditions, making coordinated care especially important.
That's why Dr. Young works closely with primary care physicians and other specialists to coordinate care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on the whole person. His goal is simple: to help every patient receive the right care, at the right time, with a clear understanding of the path ahead.
